Workforce

WHO benefits from our efforts?

  • Our 8,500 co-workers benefit from an enhanced focus on wellness. Investing in wellness means co-workers and their families have support and resources to make choices to lead a healthy, fulfilling life. Ameren has strong senior leadership support of this effort and recently engaged an employee advisory committee to make recommendations on future programming.
  • Service members bring valuable experience to our company, including nuclear and technical knowledge. Ameren has been committed to hiring veterans since World War I, and today more than 350 veterans work with us.
  • The contractors Ameren utilizes are expected to provide a safe work environment for their employees and the general public. We engage them with our contractor safety program to assess best practices and identify pockets of excellence. These efforts, in conjunction with our workforce safety performance, are deeply rooted in our company’s values.
